The team

Like many others in the fitness industry, the seeds of Bush Sports Performance were sown in youth sports and eventually led our founder to pursue strength training as a form of building self confidence and managing anxiety as a teen.

After years as a professional in the fitness industry, co-founders Chris and Jenn realized there were huge gaps in methodologies being taught and encouraged throughout gyms worldwide.

Most trainers focus on a mix of energy balance (calories in vs. calories out) and conventional strength training to guide their clients without understanding the human body on a foundational level: muscle, blood sugar, gut health, hormone balance, nutrition, stress management, and metabolic integrity.

Bush Sports Performance is more than a training centre -- it combines all facets of wellness that exist outside your hour in the gym to ensure your results are effective, sustainable, and most importantly, last.

Our method changes the rules.

My passion for fitness originated at a very young age where I competed in high-level cross country running and athletics in the UK. I began weightlifting as a teen to build self-confidence and overcome my struggles with anxiety, and what was at first just a sport quickly became a passion that I was eager to pursue as a career.

I have been training adults and young athletes for the past 10+ years within private gyms, corporate gyms, and now within my own studio - Bush Sports Performance - where I can effectively use my many years of experience in fitness and sports development to help shape the future of young athletes and adults alike - not only to build strength and muscle but as a mentor advocating for physical and mental resiliency alongside sustainable lifestyle habits that will result in a healthier, wealthier, happier society.

Growing up playing competitive ice hockey, I learned to value fitness at a young age, coming to understand quickly that health encompasses multiple facets - your physical wellness, mental resiliency, and the accumulation of small daily habits.

As with many women, my health quickly took a quick turn in my early 20s where I began battling with severe digestive issues, painful periods, hair loss, fatigue, and mounting inflammation. After countless "your labs are normal" visits with my doctor, I turned to functional medicine to get to the root cause of my gut dysfunction and hormone imbalances. I have personally worked with over 2000 women, running thousands of functional lab tests and building countless personalized protocols, helping women on every continent (except Antarctica!) become empowered over their bodies and healths and take control of their future and the generations after.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience as a personal trainer, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients, helping them achieve their health and fitness goals through tailored programs, evidence-based strategies, and unwavering support. My foundation degree in physiotherapy has equipped me with a deep understanding of movement mechanics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation—allowing me to bridge the gap between fitness and clinical care.

For the previous 7 years, I served as the General Manager of a busy corporate gym, where I lead operations, helped shape team culture, and support team development. One of my greatest professional accomplishments has been mentoring over 50 personal trainers, guiding them in both technical knowledge and career growth. I’m passionate about building strong fitness communities, empowering kids and adults to take ownership over their health and future, and continually raising the standard in the health and wellness industry.
